Security Updates & Management For Your WordPress & Drupal CMS Websites

Drupal and WordPress have monthly security updates that must be installed by an expert (or parts of your site will break). This not only updates the CMS, but also makes the platform more secure as more breaches in cyber security are discovered and remedied. Please note: your website typically must be hosted on the ImageWorks Creative server in order for security updates to be performed. In some cases, if we have “root access” to a third-party server that is set up properly, we can do these updates for you there, too.

Website Updates & Edits

It's not possible to know how many site updates and content changes a given website will need throughout the year, however all customers with this plan will get 20% off our normal rate of $165 per hour!

Responsive Design Fixes & Updates

Websites are accessed from desktop computers, tablets, phones – even wrist watches! We build sites responsively to adjust to any given browser size, but there’s no way we can test the near-unlimited possibilities across all types and sizes of devices. Sometimes, elements on a page may appear out of place on specific devices set to specific resolutions. When those instances occur, simply take a screenshot and forward it to our team! We’ll do our best to replicate the problem and mitigate any issues as they’re identified.

Website Health & Speed Optimization

We’ll crawl your site and fix any reported errors, fix browser errors, server errors, as well as conduct page speed and mobile site performance testing. We’ll then fix bugs, broken links, bad pages, HTML errors, compliance issues, etc. These happen on all sites over time due to robots, hackers, and the nature of the web. They require attention constantly!

Creating a Comprehensive Web Maintenance Plan for Your Drupal Site

Maintaining a Drupal website requires dedication and regular care. With the proper maintenance plan, you can ensure your website continues to meet the needs of its users and remain secure and up-to-date. Here, we will provide you with all the necessary resources for creating and executing a comprehensive Drupal website maintenance plan.

Create a Back-up Schedule and Disaster Recovery Plan.

Creating a back-up and disaster recovery plan is essential for any Drupal website maintenance plan. This will ensure your data is protected in the event of an unexpected outage or other catastrophic event. Set up regular back-up schedules, to ensure that your data is secure at all times. Additionally, set up detailed recovery plans to ensure you are able to quickly get back online and operational again after such events.

Set Up Monitoring to Detect Unusual Activity

Regularly monitor your Drupal website for unusual activity, to ensure that it is secure and running optimally. Set up alerts so you can be notified if any activities or changes occur on your site outside of the norm. Installing an analytics package monitoring software to determine usage patterns, including page requests and unique visitors, will help you spot where further optimization may be needed and detect any suspicious activities.

Perform Routine Platform/Module Updates.

To ensure that your Drupal site is secure from the newest threats and up-to-date with the latest features and bug fixes, you should always update your platform/modules when new versions are released; more frequent updates can ensure better safety for your site. Make sure to back up all of your data, content, and themes before you apply the updates. This backup will help in case anything goes wrong during the update process.

Monitor Performance & Security Metrics.

Establishing a web performance and security monitoring system for your Drupal site is essential. This will allow you to identify factors that may be negatively affecting the speed or compatibility of your site, as well as security threats that can potentially impact its stability. Monitoring tools such as New Relic or Acquia Inspector can make this process easier by testing page performance, validating theme integrity and alerting you when something is amiss.

Take Steps to Protect Your Website from Malware and Hacking Attacks.

It is important to take measures to protect your website from malware and hack attempts. You should use an application security system, such as ModSecurity or NinjaFirewall. This will ensure that the code of any uploads is vetted for malicious intent before being allowed on the site. Additionally, you should also install a two-factor authentication system so that site administrators need two separate pieces of information in order to log in. This can greatly reduce the risk of malicious activities on your website.
